We are Mike
and Kelley Morrison from Wheatland, California. Wheatland is
approximately 1 hour from Sacramento between Lincoln and Yuba City. We
live on 5 beautiful acres complete with a ½ acre pond full of 3 foot
long channel cat and Koi, 2 wonderful workshops, and our little country
house.
n 1996
when we purchased our first home Mike surprised me and found our
first bullmastiff Brutus. We fell in love with his brother and
littermate Bear so 6 weeks later we brought home The Boys! The
boys were our constant companions; they were even the Best Dogs at
our wedding in Monterey. They were great ambassadors of the
breed and our babies. We lost sweet Brutus to cancer on April
15, 2006. We started Double Dog Bullmastiffs in memory of our
first bully boys Brutus and Bear.
We were so worried
about Bear we decided to look for a new little sister for him.
In July of 2006 we took Bear up to Elma Washington and got our Rogue
from Barb and Eric Long. In November when she was 6 months old
we began showing her in conformation. Mike has also been
showing her in rally and will be showing her in Obedience and
Agility. She is a wonderful girl and really loves doing
conformation and obedience trials with her dad.
In
February of 2007 Barb and Eric Long entrusted us with our sweet
girl Jubilee. She has just begun to show, and being my first
show dog she and I are really learning together. We have our
CGC and points towards our championship and have taken Reserve
in every show we have been in so far in 2008! We have also
started taking Rally classes and our goal is to have at least
our RN this year. Our Jubilee is a delight and is really coming
into her own this year!
In
July of 2007 we got a call from Susan Sparks and Logan joined
our family. Our goals for him this year is to get his CGC
and start in Rally. We lost our sweet Bear September 4, 2007
and miss him so much.
And let us not forget our 20 lb ragdoll cat Oliver. He is a
great playmate for the 3 kids and is Logans best buddy and RUG.
Ollie is not always so sure that DROOL IS COOL!
When we are
not in the show ring we love to spend time with the kids on the property
feeding the fish, or we may be out racing our Yamaha Rhino.
We are also
proud members of Cascade
Northwest Bullmastiff Club (CNBC) and the
Pacific Northwest Bullmastiff Fanciers.
